About LP 339-7

339 is divided into two sections. The inner system (or core planets) and the outer system. Most of the wealth and production in 339 lies within the inner system. These three rocky core planets and their corrisponding stations have always enjoyed a life of peaceful prosperity.

Life in the outer system can be more dangerous as these three Jovians and their stations have less wealth and so often turn to criminal activities to support their economies. Blue Creative and Starship Enterprises are working together to help close this divide, bring more wealth into the outer system and bring the system of 339 closer together.

Inner system:- Gell-Mann, So-Yeon, Whitson

Outer system:- the Park, Chapman, Lazarev, Blue Planet, Kerwin

The Inner System

Gell-mann ring is the station that lies closest to 339's central star and as such this station probably attracts the greatest number of players to its dockyards. Gell-Mann is the systems industrial powerhouse, importing metals to be processed into various industrial materials. Gell-Mann Ring is also the best equipped station when it comes to outfitting. This station has had a colorful history, beginning life as Blue Creatives HQ, it has changed hands a number of times before finally becoming SE property. Gell-Mann orbits a high metal planet very similar to old Mars before it was terraformed and attracts a number of visitors looking to experience the red planet in all its natural glory.

So-Yeon Dock is owned by Starship Enterprises. While Gell-mann Ring was established around a high metal world for industrial purposes, So-Yeon Dock was constructed around the beautiful second planet. After a long and complicated period of teraforming the planet’s atmosphere to suit humans while not endangering the indigenous life, this planet has finally been colonized. It has a large agricultural economy based on the light side of the globe (So-Yeon is tidally locked and so one side continually faces the sun) importing bio waste which it converts into fertilizer to aid in the production of various food exports including many varieties of fruit, vegetables and cereals as well as sending supplies to Gell-mann Ring to be refined into food cartridges for most common 3D printers. So-Yeon has a number of genetically cloned animals from earth introduced into its ecosystem and there are large areas of landmass given over to act as nature reserves. The human population are mainly housed around the dark side of the planet where there is less of an impact on the planets wildlife. So-Yeon acts as the Agricultural centre for SE operations trading out food stuffs to systems which have been struck by famine.

Whitson Orbital is based around the third of the systems planets which has also been teraformed for agricultural purposes, although this planet was a more successful attempt at teraforming. Whitson is cooler and more stable than its nearby celestial counterpart and attracts a high number of the systems inhabitants. Its economy setup is almost identical to its neighbour with food production on the light side and human habitation on the dark side of this tidally locked body. Whitson acts as a headquarters for SE and although it supports an agricultural economy, it is mainly used now by the SES&I department to conduct exploration and research projects aswell as being a home to the Galaxy Tours subsidiary company. SE are in the process of constructing large wild-life parks on Whitson planet in the hope of attracting greater tourism into the system.

The Outer System

Earth's Inheritance Wildlife Reserve was constructed as part of a project to bring more commerce into the outer system. It was such a large project that Dr. Chapman requested help from the galactic community to bring in the required resources. Earth's Inheritance (we just call it the Park) has an Industrial/Tourism economy and imports a whole range of items including food stuffs, metals, advanced meds, and a number of technology items. The Park has two bio domes where many species of Earth animals including many extinct creatures from Earths past are engineered for the viewing public. It supports a state of the art tourism lounge for passing visitors as well as facilities to rearm, refuel and repair any gunslingers wanting to operate in the nearby HazRez sites. We are very proud of this base and although our HQ is still based in Whitson Orbital, the Park has become our outer system bastion.

Chapman Hub began life as a commercial outpost around 339's fourth planet and marks the beginning of the outer system colonies. Chapman has an Industrial economy similar to Gell-Mann ring and was established to originally bring greater commerce into the outer system. Chapman quickly became of critical strategic importance in the war with the notorious Blue Clan when it was used as a staging point for Starship Enterprises forces.

Lazarev Enterprise was originally the main operating base of the Blue Clan and was the main route by which illegal goods were brought into the system. However, several of the local independent businesses banded together to form Public Inc and pooled their resources together and after a fierce civil war with the Blue Clan, the pirates were beaten back and Public Inc proudly took the station as their prize. Lazarev Enterprise is still recovering from the aftermath of the civil war and has not yet re-opened its markets but it does offer the magic three Rs, (Refuel, Repair and Rearm).

Blue Creative have recently established a number of settlements on planet 5E, a small icy moon that has been nicknamed Blue Planet due to its colour. Blue Planet supports three ports: Potter Horizons, Scott Beacon and Thirsk Survey, as well as a research lab. Potter and Scott both have colony economies while Thirsk acts as a defence base and as such has a military economy. Blue planet is an excellent place to do surface quests for blue creative.

Kerwin Gateway was the IVPs attempt at establishing a He2 scooping refinery out at the last Jovian of the system and in many ways it was a success. The money they made from the refined helium helped the IVP to grow this station into the large orbital it is today and Kerwin Gateway has expanded its production into various other sectors. Kerwin Gateway’s placement, so far out from the systems primary, reflects its shadowy nature. Kerwin Gateway has a reputation of being a port for smugglers and route into the system for the underground slave markets.
