Starship Enterprises

in Today's modern Galaxy Information is power and SE recognizes this. many of the corporations transactions are in the form of raw data. Starship Enterprises Science and Information department deals with items of this nature. whether it be monitoring the flow of information throughout the civilized galaxy or charting far off systems for possible useful resources the boffins at SES&I will have it covered. SES&I also sponsors smaller scientific ventures, offering financial backing and advice.

SE Discovery

This is the main force of SES&I and is responsible for charting new systems and celestial bodies. SE Discovery works closely with a number of other departments, but has formed an especially good working relationship with SE Mining and was responsible for locating the system of Col14 which has now become the main home of SE Mining. Discovery commanders also spend long periods of time away from the bubble, charting the further reaches of the galaxy.

the External Affairs department

the external affairs department keeps an eye on the galactic community at large for any tips, trips or tip offs in the bubble. most of its members stay plugged into the galactic net and monitor the virtual chatter.

The Unidentified Article (news company)

the UA was a more recent project financed by SES&I.

It is a news company. Employing freelance roving reporters, documenting events and achievements by SE commanders. Many of these stories are picked up and run by the LP 339-7 Hereld and published system-wide. The UA has also had some success on Galnet, with stories going up during the construction of the Earth's Inheritance Wild-life Reserve. SE are always in the look out for commanders wishing to submit stories for the Unidentified Article.

The Terran Wildlife Project

This Venture started small but became one of SE's greatest successes. A tiny bio-medical research facility based on So-Yeon planet bred clones of Earth species. These clones were genetically tailored to suit their new environments, and then they were released onto newly terraformed planets across the bubble. Dr. Chapman was especially fond of this venture and expanded the company, extending their premises on So-Yeon planet as well as creating a similar facility on Whitson. When SE focused their research into Bio-medicines the Terran Wild-life Project received another boost in funds and eventually the projects success led to the construction of a specialized Wild-life Reserve on planet 4A. This facility has become one of SE's most important assets in 339.

SE Galaxy tours

Galaxy Tours has become another important part of the modern SE blueprint and was instrumental in turning Whitson Orbital into 339's primary station. Tourism has become increasingly popular within Lp 339-7 especially since the construction of the Park on planet 4A. Galaxy Tours caters to those sightseers and famous explorers wishing to see the galactic nooks and crannies of the Milky Way and runs specially fitted luxury cruise liners to tour in comfort. Dr. Chapman also has a project to create tourism beacons within 339, stimulating an influx of tourism in the system.
