Keeping Creative at 70%

As commanders of SE may well know. Our head of SES&I has been in contact with the developers at FD in regard to getting our minor faction renamed from Blue Creative to Starship Enterprises.

In game lore SE and Blue Creative shall be merging into a larger and more powerful company after they have been working together for quite some time now and have formed a close alliance. Dr. Lewis Chapman hopes that this merger will help to bring the inner and outer planets together in 339 and bring more commerce and wealth into the system.

Part of the process of renaming a minor faction is an extensive background check. The developers need to find out if any other players have also adopted Blue Creative, or another one of the factions in 339 (like the IVP). they may be on the PC or Mac and not even know we exist (or we them). The developers need to know that changing blue creative will not effect anyone else's game, and the more systems Blue Creative has moved into then the longer and more complicated this process becomes.

Luckily Blue Creative only exists within 339 at the moment and our system was purposely chosen because it is off the beaten track and doesn't attract too much player traffic. Hopefully this will mean that the background checks will be successful and Blue Creative will be renamed to Starship Enterprises.

We received an Email on the 22nd of April 2016 in which we were told that the devs would "help make sure the faction is in game." So we are very confident it is only a matter of time until the PMF update and our rename.

Because of this SE has been keeping Blue Creative at a stable 70% influence. we do not want too much influence as this will cause an expansion and make the renaming process much more complicated. For now we just want to stay in 339 and wait out the PMF update.

So here are some quick tips on how to keep the influence up in 339.

  • to begin with, try to use Gell-Mann Ring for everything when in 339.. this is Blue Creatives main station

  • if you are trading then buy big and sell small.. the game logs transactions made regardless of the amount so selling items 1 by 1 will gain greater influence. buy gold from Gilgamesh (mallet Hub) and sell 1 by 1 in Gell-Mann Ring.. you can take liquor on the backhaul.

  • If you are bounty hunting then do not kill AI's that are aligned with Blue Creative, this will down their influence. Also only hand in bounty claims for Blue Creative and the Federation and only do this at stations owned by Blue Creative. If you hand in bounty claims for the other factions it will gain them influence so withholding the claims is really good for blue creative.

  • If you want to mine then hit the Orobu system and from there you can jump to col 285 sector ky-h c10-14. the 6th body there has a pristine metallic ring with a good supply of high profit metals and painite.

  • If smuggling is your thing then grab imperial slaves from Kappa Fornica or LTT 8517 and deliver them to Whitson Orbital. this is an IVP station and bringing contraband commodities into their market will down their influence.
