Communication Breakdown

There was a shockingly unexpected turn of events in Gell-Mann Ring yesterday morning. During one of the final meetings between Starship Enterprises and Blue Creative regarding the merger of the two companies, there was some kind of massive communication breakdown and it seems that Dr. Lewis Chapman has broken negotiations with Blue Creatives board. Dr Chapman was seen walking out from the platinum conference suite in Gell-Mann's lavish commerce sector. The interview team decided not to question Dr. Chapman once they got a good look at the expression on his face. Our senior business reporter commented, "He looked ready to punch someone, and I didn't want to be that someone!"

Although we do not know exactly what happened behind closed doors, the Unexpected Article can speculate what knock on effects this major about-turn in events will mean for the people of 339.

Dr. Chapman will definitely stop all trade with Blue Creative until the issue is resolved and that could have a serious effect on the commerce in 339, especially in the core system where SE Logistics have made a real name for themselves. It is likely he will issue orders to begin stockpiling materials at the various stations until he has set up his own manufacturing facilities.

SE Mining will probably wind down their activities also and this will not be good news for the boys in manufacturing in Gell-Mann Ring, as they rely on large shipments of raw materials almost exclusively supplied by Dr. Chapman's corporation.

Expect the activities in the outer system to hot up over the next few weeks as it is likely that Dr. Chapman will issue orders that SE pilots start hitting the resource sites in 339, looking for bounty hunting vouchers to help fortify his company.

With neither Blue Creative nor Starship Enterprises caring to comment officially on the situation, the future of these two companies, and 339, remains uncertain.
